Oak Shade

The original Amiss homestead is at the end of Silkwood Lane. John Amiss Walter's son, Frank Walter, and his wife, Virginia, were early owners. The property later passed to Mr. Armstrong, then Peter Kramer, and the Liebolds. It is now owned by Donald McHenry, UN Ambassador to the United Nations.
