Charlie Walter House

Harriet Amiss, Katherine Riley's great grandmother, inherited this house from her father, Joseph Amiss, who built it between 1850 and 1875. Harriet then married Charlie Walter, a distiller. The distillery was located in the field. Harriet had 9 children and died at the age of 39.

It is now owned by Guy Hickerson, a descendant of the family after whom Hickerson Mountain is named.
