Lawler/Cook Home
Mr. Lawler, original owner of the home, had no children, and said
that he would donate the house to the poorest man in the county.
Clarence Cook said, "That's me," and took possession.
He may have had an inside track, however, since his wife was Mrs.
Lawler's neice. A son, Harry Cook, now in his seventies, currently
occupies the house. The house is located roughly opposite the viewtown
store in Viewtown.
