Pickett Place

Now almost gone, the house was owned by a man named Pickett, who sold whiskey. One night, Mr. Pickett found a man coming up a ladder, presumably looking for whiskey. Mr. Picket shot him and, for this action, went to prison.

Julia Lawrence later ran a store out of a house up the road, across from Mr. Roadhouse's place (in Culpeper).
